Optimizing the value for money of language-editing services for European Public Markets
The European Union is an institutional framework characterised by its cultural and linguistic diversity, comprising in 2023, 27 countries which represent 24 official languages and three different scripts.
Thus, language diversity is an essential part of European culture and heritage, proudly supported by the EU in the work of its European Public Markets. Languages hold a central role in the EU since its creation, as multilingualism was enshrined in the EU’s regulatory framework by Council Regulation No. 1 of 1958, which set out the official and working languages, and has since, been updated to integrate and include all other official languages of the Member States.
